morphosis retreat

The second step in a process of architectural research pertaining to a particular architect or firm, this retreat was intended to exemplify the process of design and the worldly outlook of Morphosis. The firm itself sees the evolution of the human mind revealed in daily culture and claim that this kind of cultural flux is what shapes the architecture of today. As a personal study of their views, I was interested in discovering what the firm's outlook would produce in a setting completely absent of any kind of immediate human culture: a cliff side within a raging river gorge.
