einstein on the beach memorial wall detail

This detail was the first part of the process in designing the memorial wall. Upon the clarification of the project concept, the detail was generated to outline the architectural principles that would reinforce that concept visually.

The design incorporates a series of occupiable levels suspended off of a steel framework. These levels act as a skin or covering for the structure and reflect the condition of the world as outlined in the opera. The world which we inhabit is nothing more than a sheltered "skin."
